The “Low Cost” Home

It’s not by coincidence that it is possible to define the “Urban Cottage” concept as Low Cost or affordable housing.Analysing the associated construction costs it is considered possible to reduce these by some 15% to 20%.The proposal for the new dwelling consists in being able to “fabricate” the property with the minimum of technical requirements but achieving the quality standards of the current market.Using for example technologies from shipbuilding (incorporation of bathroom modules, ready to use from their simple installation) and management from the auto sector in advanced construction systems (the structure, floors and walls all prefabricated) will result in exceptional durability and quality.Using Low Cost construction does not have to mean a reduction in quality, durability or structural integrity.
